Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | 3x12-Hour Night Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Care / CVICU setting with acuity-adaptable ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
Monitor and manage cardiac and post-operative cardiac patients, as well as medical ICU overflow
Operate and manage specialized equipment including balloon pump, Impella, EKOS, transvenous pacers, cardiac monitors, CRRT, and ventilators
Accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and pass facility rhythm competency assessment
Float to ICU or other inpatient units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of PCU / Progressive Care nursing experience
Current ACLS certification
NIH Stroke Scale certification (or willingness to obtain)
Must pass facility cardiac rhythm knowledge test with a score of 90% or higher
Preferred Experience / Skills
Previous Cardiac ICU or critical care experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with advanced cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic support devices
Experience with Epic EMR
