Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac Care / CVICU setting with acuity-adaptable ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4
- Monitor and manage cardiac and post-operative cardiac patients, as well as medical ICU overflow
- Operate and manage specialized equipment including balloon pump, Impella, EKOS, transvenous pacers, cardiac monitors, CRRT, and ventilators
- Accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and pass facility rhythm competency assessment
- Float to ICU or other inpatient units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of PCU / Progressive Care nursing experience
- Current ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass facility cardiac rhythm knowledge test with a score of 90% or higher
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous Cardiac ICU or critical care experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with advanced cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic support devices
- Experience with Epic EMR
