Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting during night shift hours
• Manage and monitor post-operative open-heart recovery patients
• Operate and manage mechanical circulatory support devices including Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP)
• Adhere to unit guidelines for weekend and holiday rotation as well as float assignments per department policy
• Complete required learning modules prior to and during assignment in accordance with facility standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona, verified within the last 30 days — no encumbrances on license
• Minimum of 24 months of CVICU experience, with experience within the last 12 months
• Active BLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI
• Active ACLS certification from AHA, ARC, or ASHI
• CVICU skills checklist completed within the last 12 months
• Arizona residents are not eligible for this assignment — candidates must reside outside of Arizona to qualify

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Hands-on experience with direct open-heart recovery patients
• Familiarity with Impella and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management
