Registered Nurse – CVICU

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Full-Time

• Provide direct patient care in a 28-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1
• Care for patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries, as well as patients requiring ECMO, LVAD support, and heart transplant management
• Titrate all critical care drips including inotropes and sedation medications
• Monitor patients via telemetry and recognize ECG rhythm changes, communicating findings to providers as appropriate
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Intensivists, Advanced Practice Providers available 24/7, and Respiratory Therapy staff
• Adhere to weekend scheduling requirements including a minimum of 3 scheduled weekend days per rotation, with potential floating to other ICU or step-down units within the facility

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated experience in a CVICU setting with cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patient populations
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Ability to recognize ECG changes and communicate rhythm findings to the care team
• Ability to titrate critical care drips including inotropes and sedation

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience caring for ECMO and LVAD patients
• Familiarity with heart transplant patient management

• Work within a high-acuity, specialized cardiovascular ICU supported by Intensivists, APPs, and Respiratory Therapy around the clock
• Gain experience with a diverse and complex patient population including advanced cardiac surgical cases and mechanical circulatory support
