Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 2 Weekends/Month Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients in a 16-bed CVICU with a 1:2 patient ratio (1:1 for certain device patients)
• Manage and monitor patients on advanced cardiac devices including ECMO, Centrimags, HM3 LVADs, IABP, and Impella
• Perform and assist with procedures including central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and intubations
• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring utilizing PA catheters and Phillips bedside telemetry systems
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Float as needed, typically to other ICUs, per unit floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in Tennessee
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience with demonstrated CVICU experience
• Proficiency with PA catheter management and hemodynamic monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with IABP and Impella device management
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and Hill-Rom beds
• Prior experience in a high-volume cardiac surgery setting
