Travel RN – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) – Nights

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients in a 16-bed CVICU setting with patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 for device patients
- Manage and monitor patients on advanced cardiac devices including ECMO, Centrimags, IABP, Impella, HM3 LVADs, and PA catheters with hemodynamic monitoring
- Perform and assist with unit-based procedures including central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and intubations
- Utilize Meditech for clinical documentation and Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, and Alaris IV pumps for patient care
- Adhere to scheduling requirements including 2 weekends per month and designated holiday coverage
- Float as needed, typically to other ICU settings, in accordance with unit floating policy
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience with demonstrated CVICU experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Proficiency with PA catheter management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a high-acuity cardiac surgical environment
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system
- Prior experience in a high-volume cardiac surgery program supporting advanced cardiac devices
