Key Responsibilities
  • Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent and comprehensive nursing care.
  • Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders.
  • Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary.
  • Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
  • Communicates care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at time of discharge; delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures; strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services in a fast-paced ICU environment.
