Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent and comprehensive nursing care
• Obtains and monitors physiological data; observes patient status and intervenes as necessary
• Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, noting all changes in physician orders
• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicates care plans to patients and families throughout the hospital stay and at discharge; makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board Approved Program
• Experience working in a cardiovascular or critical care setting
• Proficiency in organizing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services
