Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients with complex problems in a cardiovascular ICU setting.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments encompassing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, and synthesize data into a cohesive care plan.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop, update, and communicate patient care plans, promoting continuity of care and effective discharge planning.
Demonstrate competence in bedside point-of-care testing and adhere to healthcare organization nursing standards, policies, and procedures in all care delivery.
Assess patient and family readiness and ability to learn, utilizing appropriate patient education materials relevant to the population served.
Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives while promoting a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of North Carolina.
Minimum of one (1) year of recent CSICU/CVICU nursing experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from AHA or ARC.
Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing.
Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
Demonstrated ability to engage in professional development activities and apply current nursing research to clinical practice.
