Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments incorporating physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, and synthesize findings to develop and update individualized plans of care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient outcomes, communicate relevant clinical information, and promote continuity of care.
Perform bedside point-of-care testing and apply healthcare organization standards, policies, and procedures in the delivery of patient care.
Assess and anticipate discharge needs of patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex care issues and high-risk discharge planning.
Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care initiatives while promoting a safe and secure hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of North Carolina.
Minimum of one (1) year of recent CSICU or CVICU nursing experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA or ARC.
Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing.
Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
Preferred Experience / Skills
BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing.
Demonstrated ability to identify and address cultural and ethnic considerations in patient care planning.
