Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Saturday and Sunday | 24 Guaranteed Hours Per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Cardiovascular ICU managing post-operative cardiac patients, AMI, cardiogenic shock, and induced hypothermia cases
- Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 for CRRT and 1:1 for Impella support
- Perform and assist with cardioversions, line placements, and line discontinuations within the unit
- Manage and monitor Swan-Ganz catheters and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABPs)
- Float to inpatient units as needed, primarily within critical care and acute care clusters
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health record systems
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of cardiac nursing experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Swan-Ganz catheters, IABPs, and post-operative cardiac patient management
- Ability to work every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and every other holiday
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CCRN certification
- Experience charting in EPIC
- Prior travel nursing experience with ability to adapt independently in a new environment
