Job Title: RN CVOR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 05:15 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - 1 year of experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting - Current RN license - BLS and ACLS certifications Description: Weekly hours: 40 hours. Start time: 06:45 AM. End time: 05:15 PM. Work days: Rotating days based on an 8-week schedule. Call requirements: 12 shifts, each shift is 12 hours for an 8-week schedule. Unit description: Open heart unit with 8 cardiac operating rooms. Includes 7 cardiac surgeons. Handles 9-16 cases per operative day. More than 2000 cardiac cases are performed each year. Involves open and robotic cardiac surgery. Supports a heart failure and heart transplant program. Each case typically has 1 first assistant, unless both femoral and radial veins are needed. Involves collaboration with a Certified Surgical Technologist, Heart Holder Registered Nurse, and a Circulator.
