Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Operating Room - $2,611 per week in Cypress, TX

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30-15:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required; CNOR preferred Must-Have: Candidates must have cardiovascular experience. Candidates must be able to perform vascular and robotic cases. Candidates should be willing to take call. 8 or 10-hour shifts are acceptable. Description: The unit features 11 operating rooms. There are 30 staff members including 1 Charge RN, 10 RNs, 10 CSTs, 2 schedulers, 3 anesthesia techs, and 2 orderlies. Five RNs and five CSTs work 10-hour shifts. One RN and one CST work night shifts from 3 PM to 11 PM. Patient ratios are typically 1:1. The unit uses a variety of equipment including Hana beds, Axis beds, Trios beds, and robotic systems. Typical procedures performed include CABG, Pericardial Window, AAA and endovascular AA, ECMO, Convergent Maze, and others. Preferred skills include endovascular and moderate sedation experience. Candidates should be able to work in various surgical specialties. The ideal candidate is a hard worker who is willing to assist wherever needed and gets along with others. Weekend call typically occurs once a month and usually requires coverage from the end of the shift until the next morning.
