Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Compact License or single state license acceptable Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Experience circulating and scrubbing CVOR cases - Ability to float within the hospital Description: Position for a CVOR Registered Nurse. Start date is ASAP. Ratios are not applicable. First-timers are accepted. Weekend shifts are required on an as-needed basis. Call is required with 3 weeknight call shifts per 4-week schedule and 2 - 24-hour weekend shifts per month. Floating within the hospital is required. This position does not allow floating to sister hospitals. Block scheduling is not available unless otherwise stated. Local candidates are accepted, and pending licenses are not accepted. Request time off restrictions are limited to a maximum of 1 week. Average daily census is 50-75 patients. The facility has 28 operating rooms. Patient population includes orthopedic sports, minimally invasive arthroscopic, laparoscopic cases, robotics, general, GYN, URO, and plastics. Experience with neuro, spine, thoracic, and vascular cases is a plus. This is a very busy, high-acuity academic environment. Additional skills that would be beneficial include various surgical procedures such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, cardiac monitoring, and more. Daily census is approximately 16,500 annually, with a variety of complex surgical procedures. Candidates are expected to have 3-4 years of cardiovascular experience. All candidates must disclose any background checks, DUIs, etc., at the time of application for consideration. References are required upon submission. Orientation will include non-billable modules, and EPIC experience is a significant plus but not mandatory.
