Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00); Day 4x12-Hour (11:00 - 23:30) Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience required. - Must have experience circulating and in Level 1 trauma. - Completion of 1 prior travel assignment is mandatory. License: - Must have a valid RN licensure in DC. - Pending DC license accepted if application has been submitted, but must have a license in hand prior to the start date. Certifications: - BLS - ACLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred. - Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred. - 2 weekend shifts required per 13-week contract. Description: We are seeking a CVOR RN for a full-time position. This role involves working 3x12 or 4x12 shifts during the day or evening. The position requires on-call availability of 6 calls per 6-week schedule. Floating to the general surgery unit may be required if no hearts are scheduled. Daily patient census includes approximately 60 cases with 8-10 hearts. The candidate will work with adults and geriatric patients. Interdisciplinary support will include IV teams, interpretation services, and pharmacy. The unit specializes in CABG, valve procedures, LVAD, transplants, and open vascular cases. Candidates should anticipate working with a variety of specialized equipment. All submitted candidates will undergo thorough clinical review upon application. References and prior experience must be validated to support qualifications.
