Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Operating Room - $2,758 per week in Saginaw, MI

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ Years of CVOR Experience, Open Heart Experience License: Active Michigan Nursing License Certifications: Active American Heart Association BLS, Active American Heart Association ACLS Must-Have: 3+ Years of CVOR Experience Open Heart Experience Recent Travel Work History (Highly Preferred) Description: This position is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient before and during a surgical procedure and maintaining patient safety. The RN outlines individual care plans, implements, evaluates, and documents care of the patient during surgical procedures. Provides leadership to the OR team. Communicates with the patient and family, OR team, supervisor, manager, and ancillary departments. Participates in staff development through preceptorship and continuing education. Responsibilities: Assesses the needs of the surgical patient and develops a plan of care specific to that patient. Implements and evaluates the plan of care during the procedure and makes necessary adjustments, keeping patient safety a priority. Supervises activity in the room. Anticipates and coordinates any schedule changes for the room. Assembles equipment and supplies. Assists anesthesia as necessary. Monitors the sterile field. Communicates with the patient, family, physician, OR team, supervisor, manager, and ancillary departments. Participates in staff development by attending in-services, educational meetings, staff meetings, and other meetings or seminars for educational opportunities and leadership growth. Call is required on all days worked and weekends. Weekend call is very infrequent.
