Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse – Michigan

Compensation: $111/hour – Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time position with on-call requirements on all days worked and weekends. Weekend on-call is for backup only with infrequent reporting requirements.

Requirements:
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse license (verified through LARA and/or Nursys)
- Minimum 3 years of CVOR experience required
- Open heart surgical experience required
- Recent travel work history highly preferred
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Skills checklist current within 1 year, specific to CVOR specialty
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
Responsibilities:
- Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans with focus on patient safety
- Supervise operating room activities, coordinate schedule changes, and assemble necessary equipment and supplies
- Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout surgical procedures
- Provide leadership to the operating room team during complex cardiovascular cases
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and all members of the healthcare team
- Participate in continuing education, staff development, and preceptorship opportunities
