Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse – Michigan

Schedule: Full-time surgical schedule with on-call rotation every 3rd day and every 3rd weekend

Requirements:
- Active Michigan RN license (verified through LARA and/or Nursys)
- Minimum 3 years of CVOR experience required
- Open heart surgical experience required
- Recent travel work history highly preferred
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current CVOR skills checklist (within 1 year)
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
Responsibilities:
- Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans specific to cardiovascular procedures
- Implement and evaluate patient care plans during surgical procedures with focus on patient safety
- Supervise operating room activity, coordinate schedule changes, and monitor sterile field
- Assemble equipment and supplies, assist anesthesia team as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, OR team members, and ancillary departments
- Provide leadership to the surgical team throughout procedures
- Participate in continuing education, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
