Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Operating Room - $3,523 per week in Long Beach, CA

Job Title: CVOR RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardio Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hour Days, Call Required, Every Other Weekend Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: General OR experience Description: Traveler will work in the main operating room when there are no CVOR cases. Must take CVOR call. The unit has one suite and handles approximately two cases per week. Certifications required are RN, ACLS, and BLS. The staffing ratio is two circulators per case. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner and Surginet. The charge nurse assigns cases for the next day. Weekend and call rotations are required, with RN's rotating separately for CVOR. Call response time is 30 minutes. Holiday work is included. Scrub colors are provided. Floating is only permitted within the operating room to other specialties. Floor specific orientation lasts one week or until comfortable. Common types of cases include straightforward CABG, AVR, MVR, and Thoracotomy. Scrubbing is not required but is preferred. The cancellation policy allows the facility to cancel up to four shifts during the 13-week assignment. Charting is done in Cerner.
