Key Responsibilities
Provide scrub and/or circulating RN coverage in a cardiovascular and vascular operating room environment with a 1:1 patient ratio
Perform and assist with cardiovascular procedures including CABG with or without valves, ECMO, AAA and endovascular AA, Convergent Maze, Impella/balloon pump, VATs (robotic, lap, or open), endarterectomy, bypass procedures, thrombectomy/embolectomy, and more
Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including Da Vinci robots, Stryker and Storz towers, perfusion pump, cell saver, vasoview, hybrid room equipment, and ECMO machine
Participate in on-call rotation, including weekday call from end of shift through 7:00 AM the following morning and 24-hour weekend call approximately once per month
Document accurately using the Expanse EMR system
Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team and assist across general, ortho, ENT, GYN, podiatry, urology, plastics, pain, and eye cases as needed within the Surgery Department
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Minimum 1 year of cardiovascular OR (CVOR) experience
Demonstrated ability to perform vascular and robotic surgical cases
Willingness and availability to take call as scheduled
Preferred Experience / Skills
Endovascular experience
Moderate sedation experience
Ability to perform ortho, ENT, GYN, and general surgical cases
CNOR certification
