Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Mixed schedule including 8-hour and 12-hour day shifts | Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) required | On-call twice per week and every third weekend | Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays per unit requirements
Key Responsibilities- Circulate in cardiovascular operating room cases, primarily adult open heart surgery and general surgical cases
- Support additional OR service lines including orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neurosurgical cases as needed
- Adhere to unit float requirements within scope of skillset based on census and patient acuity
- Complete charting and documentation accurately using the EPIC electronic health records system
- Fulfill on-call obligations as scheduled, including weekday and weekend on-call shifts
- Make up any missed shifts within the same pay period per facility attendance policy
Required Qualifications- Active New Jersey RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1.5 years of current acute care operating room experience required
- Must be able to circulate in the OR
- Experience in Main OR, orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neurosurgical cases required
- BLS certification required at time of submission
- Scrub and Circulate skills checklist and work history required upon submission
Preferred Experience / Skills- Scrub experience in the OR is preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- Prior experience with EPIC charting system preferred
