Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a circulator in the CVOR setting, supporting approximately 2 cardiovascular cases per week with 2 circulators per case
• Float to the Main OR to cover general surgical cases when CVOR cases are not scheduled
• Participate in on-call rotation for CVOR coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays; 30-minute call response time required
• Utilize EMR systems including Cerner and Surginet to document patient care
• Perform orientation to the unit (approximately one week or until comfortable) and float only within the OR to other specialties
• Common case types include CABG, AVR, MVR, and Thoracotomy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in California
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated CVOR experience as a circulator
• General OR experience required (must be able to work in Main OR when CVOR cases are not scheduled)
• Ability and willingness to take CVOR call, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing in the OR (not required but strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with Cerner and Surginet EMR platforms
• Experience with cardiovascular cases including CABG, AVR, MVR, and Thoracotomy
