Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Operating Room in Philadelphia, PA

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate for cardiac surgery procedures including CABGs, aortic and mitral valve repairs and replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVADs
• Maintain a 1:4 staffing ratio in the cardiovascular operating room environment
• Participate in on-call rotation, expected approximately 2 weekends every 6 weeks (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday); holiday coverage includes 1 winter and 1 summer holiday
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records system
• Adhere to facility compliance requirements including timely completion of labs, fingerprinting, and orientation modules

Required Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Ability to both scrub and circulate for cardiac surgery cases required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard travel rate; candidates within 50 miles are subject to a local rate differential

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with a broad range of complex cardiac procedures including transplants, LVADs, and aortic dissections
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Prior travel nursing experience, though first-time travelers with appropriate CVOR experience are welcome to apply
