Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM | On-Call Required
Key Responsibilities
Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within a cardiovascular operating room setting, supporting open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
Assist with and circulate cases including CABG, valve repairs/replacements, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, LVAD, RVAD, ECMO, carotid endarterectomy, VATS, thoracotomy, fem-pop bypass, and angiograms with interventions
Maintain a 3-staff-per-OR ratio, collaborating with charge nurses, scrub technicians, and anesthesia support
Participate in on-call rotation, including approximately one weekend per month and 2–3 call days per week, with a 30-minute callback requirement
Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic medical records system
Support Level 2 trauma coverage for vascular and thoracic procedures as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Hampshire or compact state eligibility
Minimum 2 years of cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic operating room experience
Demonstrated punctuality and ability to meet 30-minute on-call callback requirements
Flexible scheduling availability, including call shifts and weekends
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced surgical environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
Ability to scrub cardiac and vascular surgical cases in addition to circulating
Prior experience with Meditech EMR
Familiarity with advanced cardiac support devices including LVAD, RVAD, and ECMO
