Travel RN – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Location
Richmond, Virginia
Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM | Call required starting at 3:00 PM when assigned; weekend call includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday when assigned
Key Responsibilities
Scrub cardiac cases requiring cardiopulmonary bypass and related procedures in the mediastinum
Assist with thoracic surgery cases including daVinci-assisted procedures, open thoracotomy, and VATS
Participate in procedures initiating ECMO and pericardial window cases
Support a variety of cardiac cases including CABG, valve replacement and repair, aortic dissection repair, and TAVR
Assist with daVinci-assisted lobectomy, wedge resections, and mediastinal lymph node biopsy
Take call as assigned per unit scheduling requirements
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience
Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases requiring bypass and related cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
Ability to take call as assigned, including weekend call
Current BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with ECMO initiation procedures
Familiarity with daVinci robotic-assisted surgical cases
Experience with TAVR and aortic dissection repair procedures
