Registered Nurse – Cardiac OR (CVOR) – Scrub/Circulate

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities- Independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac surgical cases including CABGs, structural heart procedures, and minimally invasive surgeries
- Provide perioperative nursing care for heart failure patients requiring advanced support such as VADs, ECMO, Impella, and artificial heart devices
- Participate in heart transplant and TAVI/TAVR procedures as needed
- Utilize a multidisciplinary approach to deliver safe, high-quality care to adult cardiac patients of varying acuity
- Monitor and interpret telemetry throughout the perioperative process
Required Qualifications- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license – NY license required
- Minimum of two (2) years of operating room nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to both scrub and circulate in cardiac OR cases
- Telemetry competency
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with TAVI/TAVR procedures
- Operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma center
- Familiarity with heart transplant protocols and advanced heart failure surgical interventions
