Contract | Days (5x8 Hours, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) | Onsite | Call required including weekdays, weekends, and holidays | 2 weekends per 6-week schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) environment
- Support a high-volume surgical suite handling approximately 10–25 cases per day across 7 rooms
- Participate in on-call rotation including weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes throughout all phases of the perioperative process
- Complete required facility orientation modules and maintain compliance with all unit and facility standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (CVOR experience required)
- Active Compact or Louisiana RN license in hand at time of submittal
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – AHA required
- Current NURSYS report (within 4 weeks of submission date)
- Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (address on driver's license used for verification)
- 2 Manager or Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RN references not accepted); PDF format required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- First-time travelers will be considered provided they have sufficient OR experience
- Familiarity with high-volume cardiovascular surgical environments
