Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 4x10 Variable Shifts | On-Site | 13 Weeks
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct 1:1 nursing care to adult cardiovascular surgery patients in a 2-bed OR setting
- Manage and support patients presenting with common cardiovascular diagnoses including CAD, aortic stenosis, and mitral regurgitation
- Utilize electronic health record and medication dispensing systems to document and administer patient care
- Fulfill on-call obligations of up to 7 days per four-week schedule, inclusive of one full weekend
- Float to other units as needed based on census levels
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at minimum an Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Current New York State Registered Nurse licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of CVOR or cardiovascular operating room nursing experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working with EPIC electronic health records system
- Familiarity with Omnicell automated medication dispensing systems
