Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Rotating Shifts | Monday–Friday, Various Day Shifts | 40 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | On-Call: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, 1 backup per week (30-minute response time required) | Every 3rd–4th Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers across a variety of surgical specialties with a primary focus on the cardiothoracic program, including heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries
• Perform circulating RN duties within a multi-OR environment, with 4–5 rooms assigned per day across 21 operating rooms covering all specialties
• Assist with intubations, fiber optic scopes during intubation, and placement of arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, and Swan-Ganz catheters using sterile technique
• Operate and manage specialized equipment including Cell Saver, Belmont, and Level I fluid warmers; set up and run medication pumps and draw labs
• Support conscious sedation procedures and assist with IV starts as needed
• Maintain a personal vehicle and ability to respond to on-call assignments within 30 minutes, ready in the OR

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License or valid Compact RN License
• AHA or ARC BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (diploma required)
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience with anesthesia experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Personal vehicle required due to 30-minute on-call response time

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with conscious sedation
• Strong CVOR circulating experience
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills with broad knowledge of all OR case types
• Flexibility, resilience, and ability to manage change in a fast-paced surgical environment
