RN CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM (start time may vary based on case schedule) | On-Call Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative assessment and interventions for cardiac and general surgical patients
Circulate in the CVOR for cardiac procedures including CABG, TAVRs, VATs, and general surgery cases, with an average daily caseload of 2–6 cases
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary surgical team to maintain a safe, sterile environment and anticipate the needs of the scrub nurse and surgical team
Participate in an on-call rotation covering approximately 10–12 call shifts per 6-week schedule, including 1–2 weekends and 1–2 days per week, with a 30-minute call turnaround requirement
Administer medications safely and in accordance with applicable state practice standards and facility policies
Conduct ongoing patient assessment, implement and evaluate individualized plans of care, and coordinate care across the surgical team and hospital departments
Required Qualifications
Current RN licensure in the state of Ohio or valid compact license
Minimum of 2 years of cardiac experience, with at least 1–2 years of general surgical experience
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
NIH Stroke Scale certification required
Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available upon request)
