Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Unit - $2,221 per week in San Antonio, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 17:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have OR circulator experience. Candidates must have the ability to fulfill rotating call duties, which include one night a week minimum and one weekend every five-week schedule minimum. Description: The unit consists of five operating rooms. Current staffing includes five full-time registered nurses, one manager, one board runner, two part-time registered nurses (one on leave), and three PRN registered nurses. The unit is supported by twelve surgical technicians. On the current day shift, there is one charge nurse, one manager, three day shift registered nurses, one day/evening nurse two days a week, and one attendant. During the current evening shift, there is one nurse on call and one evening nurse until 7 PM two nights a week. Patient ratios are 1 to 1. The unit utilizes basic operating room equipment, including cautery, video monitors, arthroscopy equipment, and positioning equipment. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Experience in orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, and thoracic procedures is preferred.
