Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Unit - $2,499 per week in Margate, FL

Job Title: CVOR RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years in an acute OR setting License: Current RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - 2 years current experience in an acute OR setting - Proficient in all service lines and able to scrub - Ability to work rotating weekends Description: Unit has 2 operating rooms. Staff consists of 1 RN and 1 technician, with 2 RNs and 1 technician on call. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1. Type of equipment includes Impella, ECMO, bypass pump, laser for lead extraction, EVH, and rapid transfuser. Documentation system is Meditech. On-call requirements are split based on staffing needs. Typical procedures performed include: - Joint replacement - ENT - Orthopedics - Spine - Urology - Vascular - Podiatry - Thoracic Surgery - Plastic Surgery Additional preferences: - Can also scrub as RN - Ability to function in all surgical specialties other than cardiovascular surgery The RN is responsible for observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care for all patients. Proficiency in charting, multitasking, critical thinking, and excellent bedside manner are required. Dress code consists of OR scrubs which are provided.
