Description:
We are seeking the support of contract nurses to assist with the rising nursing caseloads.
Locations will vary, and the position's post of duty will be determined after selection.
This posting is for contract nurses to support skilled nursing needs.
Five contract nurses are needed to supplement existing nursing staff.
The nurses will serve as floaters, stepping in for absences due to annual leave, sick leave, or other reasons.
Key functions include conducting nursing assessments and collaborating with external agencies to ensure appropriate services are delivered.
Assessments are utilized to authorize skilled nursing services for members.
The successful candidates will conduct in-person visits statewide and monitor health needs.
They will assist with referrals and advocate for members' rights.
The Registered Nurse will complete reports documenting the medical necessity for skilled services.
In-person assessments are required every 90 days and as needed.
The position is field-based, requiring travel for assessments.
Responsibilities include completing nursing referrals, placing vendor calls, and completing special projects.
Candidates will document in the timeframe established and collaborate internally and externally.
Participation in multidisciplinary planning meetings is essential for identifying appropriate services.
Nurses will work with members and their support systems.
Attendance at mandatory meetings and completion of required annual trainings is expected.
