Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Case Manager Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute hospital experience License: California License required Certifications: AHA certifications required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Epic charting system experience preferred Description: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for chart audits. The role involves setting up meetings and reviews. The nurse will communicate with clinicians to clarify documentation and query for specificity. They will also collaborate and coordinate meetings with relevant teams. The nurse will engage in concurrent review and continued stay reviews. Experience with ICD-10 coding and familiarity with CPT/HCPCS is preferred. Skills related to detecting complications and secondary diagnoses are required. The position will include education and training of clinical staff to improve documentation. Familiarity with hospital acquired conditions and compliance with HIPAA guidelines are essential.
