The unit does not float to other departments. On-call schedule consists of 6 call shifts in a 4-week period. The weekend on-call requirement is necessary. Advanced skills required for procedures performed include arthroscopies, total joints, and orthopedic trauma surgeries. The dress code consists of hospital scrubs.
