Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Outpatient Cardiology Clinic assignment in Columbia, Missouri. The RN will provide specialized care for patients with cardiac implantable devices by performing device interrogations, remote monitoring, patient education, and collaborating with electrophysiology providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform in-clinic cardiac device interrogations.
• Manage remote monitoring systems and vendor platforms for cardiac devices.
• Contact patients by phone or patient portal regarding device monitoring and follow-up.
• Identify and triage critical symptoms or device-related concerns, escalating care when necessary.
• Perform post-implant device interrogations during follow-up visits.
• Educate patients on device function, remote monitoring, and follow-up expectations.
• Troubleshoot and reprogram cardiac devices under physician direction.
• Document patient care accurately and collaborate with the cardiology care team.
• Float to other appropriate units as required by the facility.

Requirements

• Active Missouri RN License or Compact RN License.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• At least 1 year of outpatient cardiology or cardiac device experience preferred.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only).
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only).
