Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse specializing in ambulatory care in New York is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care within a busy outpatient setting. The role involves evaluating patient needs, implementing evidence-based nursing practices, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position promotes a patient-centered approach and emphasizes relationship-centered care principles.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 7.5 hours per day, minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of recent hospital outpatient RN experience. Minimum 2 years RN experience required; travel experience of 1 year preferred but not mandatory for Per Diem positions. Prior ambulatory care nursing experience highly preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, particularly EPIC, and familiarity with outpatient clinical workflows.
  • Additional Information: The role entails performing charge nurse duties, managing supplies and inventory, facilitating patient throughput, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. The nurse will support professional development, uphold ethical standards, and incorporate evidence-based practices into daily clinical operations. The position encourages active participation in shared decision-making and clinical committees, with a focus on continuous learning and patient safety.
