Opportunity:

RN - Clinical Nurse

Job Details:

• 10-week contract position
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, three days per week from 7:15 AM to 5:45 PM and one day per week from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with one day off per week
• Call rotation for weekends every 8-10 weeks from 5:30 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday
• Weeknight call rotation approximately once every two weeks from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• No scheduled weekend shifts
• Work in a busy GI Lab procedure area performing approximately 40-50 procedures per day
• Procedures include colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS, colon with EMR, EGD with dilation, EUS with fine needle aspiration, liver biopsies, and PEG tube placements
• Function as both an RN and Endo Tech
• Work primarily with MAC sedation with anesthesia present; some moderate sedation procedures
• Chart using Epic Op-Time
• Work collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide patient and family centered care
• Perform patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and assist with in-clinic minor procedures
• Collect and assess data related to patient health status to develop, execute, and evaluate the plan of care
• Delegate and supervise care in accordance with WI Nurse Practice Act
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Past procedural experience in a hospital-based GI Lab required
• Must be able to multi-task, have attention to detail, and be a team player
• May float to other areas as needed for operational needs

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a busy GI Lab procedure area under an Ambulatory Clinic umbrella, performing approximately 40-50 procedures daily. The facility utilizes specialized scopes and equipment for a wide range of gastrointestinal procedures and employs Epic Op-Time for charting. The nursing staff functions in a procedural role similar to that of OR, IR, or Cath Lab nurses, working alongside anesthesia in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
