Years of experience REQ: 1 year of experience working as an RN in an outpatient cardiology clinic setting and triage setting is REQUIRED

Special Procedures/Unit Details: Patient population includes cardiology patients who may be preparing for or recovering from procedures such as cardiac catheterization, PCI/stent placement, EP procedures, structural heart procedures, cardioversions, or vascular/interventional studies. Many patients may be medically complex and require careful assessment of symptoms, anticoagulation status, medication changes, and post-procedure complications. Escalate urgently for chest pain, new/worsening shortness of breath, syncope/near-syncope, stroke-like symptoms, uncontrolled bleeding, unstable vitals, or signs of vascular access complications.

Performed patient assessments, including vital signs, health history, allergies, and PHQ screenings, while providing patient education on lifestyle changes and medication adherence.

• Managed cardiac and pulmonary care, including arrhythmia interpretation, chest pain evaluation, hypertension management, CPR/AED response, and oxygen administration.
• Conducted telephone triage, maintained accurate documentation in EPIC (required), followed universal precautions, and collaborated on quality improvement initiatives.
