Job Summary
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Oncology Clinic is expected to provide compassionate, patient-centered care at a healthcare organization located in the St. Louis, Missouri area. This healthcare professional will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, coordinating treatment plans, and ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines within an oncology outpatient setting. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment dedicated to comprehensive cancer care and patient support.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 1900-0730, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active RN license (eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri), BLS certification from AHA, 1 year of inpatient oncology nursing experience including medication administration, EMR documentation, and physical assessment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ONS Chemo Certification.
  • Floats: Float requirements as needed, to any unit in the med/surg service line.
  • Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care across all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality, evaluates care effectiveness, and collaborates with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes. Physical demands include standing, walking, and manual handling, with high-risk exposure to blood and body fluids. The assignment length is 13 weeks, with potential for flexible scheduling and limited weekend shifts based on unit needs. Travelers must be available for orientation the entire week.
