Clinical Care Coordinator

Location: Valley City, ND

Start Date: 05-04-2026

End Date: 08-03-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour), schedule includes every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday; team scheduling (Night shifts)

Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate unit activities and communication to keep the Med-Tele/Swing unit running smoothly (note: role lists no clinical involvement in some contexts — follow local policy)
  • Ensure accurate telemetry monitoring and read your own strips when required
  • Set up and troubleshoot respiratory support devices and demonstrate competency with BiPAP, CPAP and HFNC
  • Collaborate with CNAs and ancillary staff to support patient personal care, vitals and weights
  • Support patient flow for acute and swing-bed populations including rehab patients
  • Participate in the code team when called and contribute to a positive, dependable unit culture
  • Float between Med/Tele Acute, Obs and Swingbed as needed and help maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios
Education
  • Active RN license (BSN not required)
Knowledge & Skills
  • Telemetry monitoring and telemetry strip interpretation
  • IV starts, NG tube insertion and Foley insertion
  • Competency with BiPAP, CPAP and High Flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
  • Experience with MEDITECH electronic charting
  • Mindray telemetry monitor familiarity
  • Acute care nursing and swing-bed/rehab experience
  • Team scheduling, CNA collaboration and participation in code response
