Travel Nurse RN - Correctional - $1,500 per week in Lebanon, OH

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Occupational Health Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 52 Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Valid RN license Certifications: Required certifications as applicable Must-Have: - Direct care experience in occupational health or similar field - Ability to provide emergency care and cardiopulmonary resuscitation - Strong assessment skills Description: Provide direct care to offenders. Administer medication (oral, intramuscular, and intravenous) and monitor patient medication compliance. Perform treatments and assist with nursing sick calls. Help with the management of chronic care clinics. Respond to emergencies, providing emergency care and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Conduct subjective and objective assessments of patients. Collect vital signs and timely document all findings. Collect urine and/or other bodily fluid specimens. Prepare patients for release or transfer to other facilities. Ensure discharge medication orders are completed and forwarded to pharmacy services. Participate in work-related training and institution training exercises. Assist other healthcare staff and investigate and document areas of concern. Review shift reports from preceding shifts. Assist physicians with medical procedures. Assume the duties of other nurses during absences. Counsel and educate patients regarding healthcare maintenance and disease prevention. Participate in quality assurance activities. Provide training and direction to new nurses and other healthcare personnel. Serve as a resource for other healthcare staff regarding healthcare matters. Participate in group programming and health and wellness initiatives. Perform administrative duties as indicated and attend meetings. Schedule multidisciplinary team meetings and make shift work assignments. Perform or assist with the inventory and ordering of medical supplies. Conduct oneself professionally and in a law-abiding manner at all times. Perform other related duties as assigned.
