Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Correctional Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in Medical/Surgical settings; correctional experience preferred License: State license in hand upon submission Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Correctional experience preferred Description: Position requires a Registered Nurse in a correctional facility. The shift is 3x12 hours, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. No block scheduling accommodations are available. Call requirements are not applicable. Every other weekend is required, totaling 2 weekends per month. Requests for time off (RTO) are limited to 5 days maximum, with no more than 2 consecutive days. No time off is permitted on holidays or the weekends surrounding holidays. Floating within the scope of practice is mandatory, as clinicians may be required to float to meet facility needs. The facility is a mandatory float facility; all resources are required to float at the facility's discretion. Annual high-volume medication pass with scanning and documentation is expected. Standard practice includes floating to various units, and refusal to float may result in cancellation of the assignment. Two professional references are required prior to the start of the position. References must be from the candidate’s most recent employers, with one from the most recent employer. Candidates must be responsive and provide timely updates for all required items. All compliance requirements must be fulfilled within the specified deadlines. Returning resources will undergo full recredentialing and reorientation, regardless of time away.
