Must-Have:
- Must have prior experience in corrections or significant experience in emergency or medical-surgical settings.
- Must be able to sustain being on your feet for 80% of the shift.
- Must be able to pass facility background check.
- MOAB certification is required, or must complete training during the first week.
Description:
This is a smoke-free facility with no designated smoking areas.
Staff on the night shift are expected to conduct one detox round and one medication-assisted treatment round.
The detox round will take approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes, while the medication-assisted treatment round will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
You will be responsible for the assessments and treatments of patients undergoing substance withdrawal.
You will monitor patients during the induction process for medication-assisted treatment.
The Addictions department oversees the administration of Suboxone and detox medications and also conducts Suboxone inductions and Methadone medication passes.
You will work with patients diagnosed with Opioid Use Disorder, Alcohol Use Disorder, and poly-substance use.
Patient ratios are expected to be 1:50 for detox and 1:75 for medication-assisted treatment.
The unit also has interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, phlebotomy, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services.
Experience with detox, substance withdrawal management, and medication administration is preferred.
You are expected to learn all roles in the correctional setting but will primarily focus on addiction medicine.
