The registered nurse will conduct health assessments and make necessary referrals to healthcare providers. Responsibilities include triaging and assessing new patients upon intake, performing detox rounds, and managing urgent care situations within the facility. Candidates must possess the MOAB certification or be willing to complete required training during their initial week. The average daily inmate population within the facility ranges from 1640 to 1900. Healthcare services provided by the registered nurse include routine medical care, detoxification support, dental services, and mental health referrals. The role may also include managing and conducting evaluations for various health conditions in a high-volume setting. Flexibility with scheduling, including the possibility of floating between different care areas such as detox and intake, is essential.
