Job Summary The organization is seeking an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for the Night and End of Week (EOW) shift at a Level III Trauma Center. This role involves providing specialized care to adult patients with a variety of diagnoses in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The position requires floating to different medical/surgical units and ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Position: ICU Float RN Nights & End of Week (EOW)
Location: Level III Trauma Center
Unit Description: 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU caring for adult patients with diagnoses such as Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock. Attendings and Residents are present 24 hours/day.
Certifications Required: Active Massachusetts RN License, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Education/Experience: 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience, including telemetry competency, and ability to read telemetry strips.
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week.
Required Skills: Telemetry competency, ability to read telemetry strips, and floating experience across adult medical/surgical units.
Additional Information: Floating to medical/surgical units may involve caring for up to 4 or 5 patients; high acuity required.
