Job Summary Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) registered nurse position available in a healthcare facility in Austin, TX. This role involves delivering high-quality direct patient care within a specialized cardiac unit, focusing on complex cardiac surgery and advanced heart failure cases. The nurse will implement and monitor individualized care plans, ensuring patient safety and clinical standards are met.
Job Details
Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid nursing license, drivers license or state ID, professional profile, professional references, and resume; minimum of 3 years of relevant ICU experience.
Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, administering physician and nursing orders, monitoring post-surgical cardiac patients, and leading discharge planning efforts to ensure smooth patient transitions.
Unit Description: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) with 28 beds, involving high-risk cardiac surgery recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, Impella, IABP, CRRT, and Swan Ganz catheter management.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Cardiac Advanced Device Therapy Management, with expertise in IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz management.
Submission Requirements: Active nursing license verification, drivers license or state ID, professional profile, three professional references, and a resume must be provided for consideration.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
