Job Summary:
The ICU Cardiovascular (ICU OH) registered nurse position is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This high-acuity unit specializes in caring for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac surgical and medical conditions, as well as adult medical ICU overflow. The role involves providing advanced patient care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on specialized procedures such as arterial line management, chest tube management, and CVA/acute stroke management. The assignment offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic ICU setting with interdisciplinary support and collaborative team members.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12-hour shifts, days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Two years of ICU experience in a cardiovascular or similar setting, valid Oklahoma RN license or equivalent, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be current and in-hand).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with arterial line management, central line care/management, and CVA/acute stroke protocols.
• Schedule: Dayshift, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts.
• Float: Float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU if needed; travelers will receive a brief orientation on the unit.
• Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Patient census averages 20 per day across 24 beds. The unit manages a mix of cardiac surgical and medical patients, with occasional overflow from adult medical ICU. Travelers are expected to float within their scope as needed, with all hours accumulated during onsite orientation.
