Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience required; CVICU experience strongly preferred
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required
• Experience with telemetry, pressors, positive inotropes, pacemakers, chest tubes, and frequent site/vital sign assessments
• Comfortable supporting patients recovering from cath lab and EP lab procedures
• Experience with pericardial drains preferred
• Charge nurse experience is a plus, especially for night shift candidates
• Ability to work in a collaborative, high-expectation unit focused on quality patient care and patient experience

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to cardiovascular ICU patients with complex, high-acuity needs
• Monitor and assess hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and vital signs with precision and consistency
• Administer and titrate critical cardiac medications as appropriate within unit protocols
• Care for patients with advanced cardiac support devices and post-operative cardiac needs
• Support open-heart, ECMO cannulation, and other advanced cardiovascular procedures as needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective outcomes
• Document care accurately using the Meditech documentation system
• Maintain professional standards while contributing to a strong, patient-centered unit culture
