Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU RN experience required
• Experience with Impella, post-cardiac surgery recovery, pre/post cardiac cath interventions, and Swan Ganz/PA line monitoring
• Ability to manage vents, drips, arterial lines, sheaths, dialysis, and ABG collection
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass an online EKG/dysrhythmia competency assessment before start
• Strong ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Epic experience required
• Active RN license or compact license accepted for submission
• Comfortable working in a high-acuity critical care environment and floating as needed
• Level I Trauma experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside care for critically ill cardiovascular patients in a CVICU setting
• Monitor and manage post-operative cardiac recovery cases
• Care for patients with STEMI/NSTEMI, heart failure, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiogenic shock, and other complex cardiac conditions
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and other critical infusions
• Support advanced therapies including Impella, ECMO-related care, temporary pacing, CRRT, and balloon pump management as assigned
• Interpret dysrhythmias, ABGs, and hemodynamic data to guide timely interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Adapt to unit needs, including floating to appropriate support areas when required
